ABOUT
Based in Guelph, Ontario, I am a music educator and community-based musician whose work is rooted in connection and creativity.
My work bridges two interconnected areas: a private teaching studio offering lessons in piano, theory, history and composition, and a focus on social performance, relaxed informal music sharing, that supports students’ confidence, well-being and celebrates their hard work.
I hold a Master of Arts in Community Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, and am a Royal Conservatory of Music Certified Teacher in Piano & Theory. I also hold Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Waterloo and the University of Guelph, which inform my pedagogy to create a learning environment where students can grow with confidence.

LESSONS
Lessons balance the classical foundations of the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) with a creative, contemporary approach. Rooted in creative exploration, lessons are guided by the four pillars of music education: repertoire, musical literacy, musicianship, and technical work. Students are given space to explore music that is meaningful to them.
Students are encouraged to creatively explore music, critically engage with repertoire, and make meaningful connections between music, history, and culture.
Families have described lessons as inspiring, encouraging, progressive, hands-on, nurturing, and creative.
• lesson fees are $24 per half hour.
• 15-minute lesson times are available for the young beginner.
• 45-minute lesson times are available for RCM-track students preparing for exams.

WHY DO WE PERFORM?
students have opportunities to share music informally through performance and collaboration in a low-pressure, friendly environment.
Intergenerational community music programs help students feel more connected and capable, and foster authentic expression.
music between us is a music-making experience where a small group of students and older adults gather to make music together. hosted by the village of riverside glen, the program takes place in a quiet, welcoming environment. wtih an emphasis on process over performance, students have space to grow, explore and belong.
